The Center for Risk Management at College of the Mainland will host “Incident Investigation” on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Gulf Coast Safety Institute, 320 Delany Rd. in La Marque, Texas.

Sponsored by Texas Mutual Insurance Company, the free course will focus on training individuals on the proper techniques to effectively plan for safety incidents and emergency situations. Through the course, participants will learn how to gather complete, accurate and objective incident data and conduct effective interviews by identifying causal and contributing factors and report findings. Additionally, students will learn some common mistakes that companies often make when conducting incident investigations and how to avoid them.

“Incident Investigation” will be taught by Brandy Hamilton. Hamilton is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Risk Management Professional and Certified Safety and Health Official with 18 years of experience as an environmental, health and safety professional, working primarily in the manufacturing and chemical industries.
