COM wins Collegiate Advertising Award
A dynamic design of gold flames on a black background became the centerpiece for a College of the Mainland advertising campaign winning bronze in the Collegiate Advertising Awards in the Fundraising Campaign Category.
Competing with schools nationwide with 2,001 to 5,000 students, the COM campaign created
for the 2014 COM Foundation Beacon of Hope Gala comprised ads, videos, invitations
and programs.
A panel of design and higher education marketing professionals with decades of combined
experience judged each category on creativity, layout/design, typography, production,
quality and overall effectiveness.
Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges, placing them in
the top 16 percent of the nation for educational advertising excellence.
The 2014-2015 Collegiate Advertising Awards program had more than 900 entries from
across the United States representing a plethora of educational institutions from
community colleges to universities. Representing all areas of communications, marketing,
advertising and promotions, the 2014-2015 Collegiate Advertising Awards program contained
some of the best advertising projects in the nation.
