In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, College of the Mainland will host guest speaker Jason Roy Jan. 27 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the COM Student Center. Lunch will be served and the event is free and open to the public.

Roy will share his journey of coming from a broken home, living his youth surrounded by gang violence and surviving two life-changing auto accidents.

A medically retired Houston police officer, Roy is author of “From Zero to a Hundred: Finding My Purpose Through My Pain” and founder of the Zero 2 A Hundred Foundation.
