Memorial bench dedicated at COM

An avid walker who loved the ducks circling the lake at College of the Mainland, the late Alice Campbell was honored Monday with a lakeside bench inscribed with her name.

Her daughter, Mary Patterson, and son-in-law, Gordon Patterson, donated the bench so others could enjoy the view she loved.

Surrounded by Campbell’s children, their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends, Mary Patterson, pictured, cut the ribbon in a ceremony this week at COM.
