Six Sigma Green Belt Course teaches cost-cutting skills
The standard in project management, the Six Sigma Green Belt Course will be offered at COM beginning Aug. 20.
This introductory project management class provides participants with systematic strategies
to increase customer satisfaction and maximize companies’ return on investment.
The two-week class features a week of intensive instruction in both hard skills such
as eliminating process waste and collecting data and soft skills such as how to create
a vision and direct a team. Afterwards, participants will be prepared to return to
their job site and tackle their own project. After three weeks, attendees return for
another week of instruction. Students may take the Six Sigma Certification test after
completing the course.
“Anybody going into project management is going to want the Six Sigma certification
to get a job or to advance their career,” said Danny Bacot, assistant director of
contract training at COM. For more information, call 409-933-8154.
