College of the Mainland (COM) was awarded a $100,000 grant from Texas Mutual Insurance Company to continue providing funding for the college’s Gulf Coast Safety Institute Center for Risk Management, which provides workplace safety courses for community employers, workers and the general public.
The Center for Risk Management at College of the Mainland will host “Incident Investigation” on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Gulf Coast Safety Institute, 320 Delany Rd. in La Marque, Texas.
Individuals can prepare to enter industry or to expand their skills with Occupational Safety and Health. Administration’s 10- and 30-Hour OSHA Outreach Training safety courses at the Gulf Coast Safety Institute (GCSI) this fall. Classes will be held in both general industry and construction standards.
