College of the Mainland invites businesses, organizations and local vendors to participate in its signature community celebration, Flock the Block, returning Saturday, March 28. Companies and individuals can take part by becoming event sponsors or securing vendor space in the FTB Bazaar, offering opportunities to engage directly with families, students and community members while supporting education and community connection.

Now in its fourth year, Flock the Block continues to grow as one of COM’s largest annual community events, bringing together attendees for a day of entertainment, career exploration and family-friendly activities.

Here's How to Participate at Flock the Block

Become a Sponsor

Sponsorships provide businesses with visibility while helping enhance the overall event experience. Available tiers include:

  • Blue Ribbon ($2,000)— Premier attraction sponsorship (e.g., Egg Hunt, Fun Zone); includes logo placement, marketing inclusion, social media recognition and verbal event acknowledgment.
  • Fair Fun ($1,000)— Featured activity sponsorship (e.g., Laser Tag, Seat & Eat Station); includes logo placement and marketing recognition.
  • Spotlight Banner ($250) — Display a sponsor-provided 5x3-foot banner at the event.

Provide In-Kind Support

Businesses may also participate by contributing goods or services through opportunities such as:

  • Flavors of the Fair— Provide food samples for attendees.
  • Showstoppers— Support live performances and entertainment.
  • Event Essentials— Provide event infrastructure (fencing, tents, staging or lighting) at a 50% discount.
  • Fair Callers— Contribute marketing or media support at a 50% discount.
  • Fair Friend — Businesses offering goods or services at less than a 50% discount receive website recognition.

Join the FTB Bazaar

The FTB Bazaar offers local vendors and entrepreneurs a first-come, first-served opportunity to showcase products and connect with the community.

Vendor Details

  • Booth includes one six-foot table and two chairs (table skirts not provided).
  • Setup: 8:30–9:30 a.m.
  • Event time: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • Vendors must complete a Facilities User Agreement.
  • A minimum $50 donation to the COM Foundation is required to support student scholarships.

Deadlines & Contact Information

The priority deadline for sponsors and bazaar vendors is Friday, March 13. Sponsorships and vendor spaces are limited.
