At College of the Mainland, we provide the tools you need to master your coursework and build confidence. The Tutoring Center offers free supportive, and expert academic support for students, alumni, and staff, across a wide array of subjects.

Flexible Tutoring Options

  • In-Person Tutoring: Visit us in the Industrial Careers Building (ICB), Room 109 for walk-in assistance or scheduled sessions in Core Academic Resources including Math, Writing, Speech and Reading.
  • Online Tutoring (WCONLINE): Connect with a COM tutor in real-time through our web-based platform featuring chat and digital whiteboards. Launch WCONLINE
  • Workshops: Download interactive workshops and presentations designed to empower students and support faculty objectives. View Workshops
  • Supplemental Instruction: Set up regular review sessions.

Core Academic Resources

Get hands-on help with everything from developmental math to advanced calculus and specialized science courses. Our tutors focus on strengthening your problem-solving skills and test preparation.

Faculty Support Services

We offer specialized workshops throughout the semester on topics including study strategies, time management, plagiarism prevention, and resume writing. Faculty can also request classroom presentations or "Mobile Tutors" to support specific course projects.
