Campus Crime Statistics

Young multiracial students use laptop while learning at campus.

College of the Mainland is committed to providing a safe environment for all students, faculty, and visitors.

In compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (20 USC § 1092(f)), we provide transparent access to our safety policies and annual crime data, including:

  • Crime Statistics: Publish an annual report of crimes occurring on or near campus.
  • Timely Warnings: Notify the campus community of threats to safety.
  • Daily Crime Log: Keep a daily record of all criminal incidents reported to campus police.
  • Security Policies: Outline the procedures for reporting crimes and responding to emergencies.

Annual Disclosure of Crime Statistics

This report is prepared in cooperation with the local law enforcement agencies surrounding our main campus, our alternate sites, and the Division of Student Affairs. Each entity provides updated information on its educational efforts and programs to comply with the Act.

Campus crime, arrest, and referral statistics include those reported to the Campus Police, designated campus officials (including but not limited to directors, deans, department heads, judicial affairs, advisors to students/student organizations, athletic coaches), and local law enforcement agencies. These statistics may also include crimes that have occurred in private residences or businesses and is not required by law.

Copies of the report may be obtained at the Campus Police Department located near the rear of the campus or by calling 409-933-8403. A partial version of this report is located in the class schedule.
