Level Two Certificate – Vocational Nursing

Certificate
The Vocational Nursing program prepares successful graduates to function as Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs). The LVN provides nursing care to patients in a variety of situations and health care settings under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or physician. The Vocational Nursing curriculum is a three semester full-time certificate training program that includes class activities, nursing skills training, and clinical experiences in a variety of healthcare settings.

  • BIOL 2401 Anatomy & Physiology I
    • final grade of “C” or higher (minimum GPA  2.00) required
  • TSI College Ready
  • HESI A2 (no older than 3 years) – 75% or greater scores in Math, Reading, Grammar,  and Basic Vocabulary.  All programs will require the additional following HESI sections: Learning Style, Personality Profile, and Critical Thinking.

Associate of Applied Science - LVN-RN Transition Track

The LVN-RN transition track is a three semester plan of study designed for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) wanting to become Registered Nurses (RNs) by obtaining the Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. New transition students are admitted in the summer.

Our stackable certificates and associates degree allow you to learn and add to your educational and professional careers while working toward your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Complete a certificate along with the AAS degree requirements, and have your bachelors completed in four years.
