Medical Assistants are allied health professionals who assist the physicians in the medical setting; they perform routine administrative and clinical tasks in order to keep the physician’s office running efficiently.
The Medical Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB).

Associate of Applied Science – Medical Assisting
An Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting prepares graduates for a fast entry into the healthcare workforce by building the skills needed to support both patient care and clinical operations.
Associate of Applied Science Degree Plan
Level Two Certificate – Medical Assisting
In three semesters of hands-on classes you will learn anatomy and physiology, human disease and pathophysiology, medical terminology, medical insurance, medical law, pharmacology and administration of medicine, clinical procedures and laboratory procedures.
