Earn your Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) at COM, completing coursework designed to transfer toward a bachelor's degree and teacher certification.

2 | Transfer to TWU

Continue at Texas Woman’s University through a coordinated transfer pathway designed to help you stay on track toward your bachelor’s degree.

3 | Stay Close to Home

Complete TWU coursework offered locally at COM and/or online, making it possible to continue your education without relocating.

4 | Become a Teacher

Complete your bachelor’s degree and educator preparation requirements through TWU and prepare to pursue Texas teacher certification.

COM and TWU are working together to reduce financial barriers for future educators.
As members of the Houston Teacher Pathways Consortium, an initiative supported by the Charles Butt Foundation and Houston Endowment, COM and TWU are expanding access to strong, affordable pathways into the teaching profession.

Scholarships

Eligible future educators may have access to scholarship opportunities, including support provided through the Charles Butt Foundation.

TWU Zero Tuition Guarantee

Eligible students may qualify for TWU’s Zero Tuition Guarantee, which helps cover the gap between regular tuition and mandatory fees and qualifying grants, scholarships and other gift aid.
