The Media Relations team serves as the official point of contact for all news organizations, journalists, broadcasters, and digital content creators seeking information about College of the Mainland. We are dedicated to promoting transparency, distributing timely and accurate institutional data, and highlighting the regional success stories that define our campus community. Our team facilitates all media coverage, coordinates campus access for reporting crews, and connects journalists with our diverse network of faculty experts and administrative leadership.

To ensure seamless collaboration with members of the press, our office provides comprehensive support across multiple communication sectors:

  • Press Releases and Announcements: Access our centralized repository of current news briefs, structural program rollouts, economic milestone metrics, and student achievement spotlights distributed by the college.
  • Faculty and Expert Source Matching: Connect with industry-tested technical instructors, academic researchers, and workforce leaders who can provide professional analysis, data, and commentary on current regional or national topics.
  • Campus Filming and Photography Access: Coordinate mandatory logistical permissions, parking clearances, and professional escorts for broadcast vans, photography crews, and journalists visiting any COM campus location.
  • Crisis and Emergency Public Information: Serving as the central distribution point for verified, real-time safety updates, scheduling adjustments, and official statements during active emergency situations or severe weather updates.
