Students will build a foundational knowledge of engineering principles and explore concepts through labs, hands-on class activities, and extra-curricular opportunities.

Students will gain marketable skills in empirical and quantitative analysis, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork while completing their coursework and laboratory requirements.

Associate of Science – Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering is one of today’s most versatile engineering fields. You’ll design safe, sustainable, and economical equipment for large-scale chemical or biological manufacturing plants or protect the environment by inventing cleaner technologies or modeling the environmental impacts of chemical processes.

  • Assisting with laboratory testing, chemical analyses, and sample preparation
  • Operating and monitoring equipment used in chemical, environmental, or industrial processes
  • Collecting and documenting data on temperatures, pressures, reactions, or product quality
  • Supporting process safety and compliance by following strict safety protocols
  • Troubleshooting issues with equipment or product quality under the guidance of engineers
  • Preparing chemical solutions, materials, or batches for testing or production
  • Maintaining lab or production equipment through cleaning, calibration, or routine checks
