Board of Trustees Role

College of the Mainland Board of Trustees, in collaboration with the College President, establish the vision for the future of the college, its mission, and strategic goals. In addition, the Trustees are responsible for establishing college policy, providing rigorous fiscal oversight, and leadership for the college’s continued growth and success in meeting the needs of its students and our community.

The Board is committed to the college's Mission & Goals and is passionate about sharing the many benefits that College of the Mainland brings to our students and to our community.

Eligibility for Candidacy

To be eligible for consideration for College of the Mainland Board of Trustees, a candidate must be:

• a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old,
• a qualified voter
• a resident in the territory from which the office is elected for six continuous months and the state of Texas for 12 continuous months prior to the date the appointment is made,
• willing to commit to reside in the territory from which the office is elected for the duration of the appointment and be available to attend monthly meetings.
