Welcome to the COM Student Government Association
SGA is the official student governance body at College of the Mainland. Its main responsibilities are to help facilitate student/faculty relations, to ensure that student concerns and needs are resolved and to oversee student clubs and other activities.
This may seem complicated, but in practice the organization really just makes sure that students have a voice in what goes on around campus. SGA also makes sure that your college experience is as fun and entertaining as possible!
SGA is currently looking for new members. Many members from last year have moved on to other colleges and opportunities, so almost all positions are open. To join, take a look at the Duties and Responsibilities of SGA Officers, then contact the SGA advisor.

Student involvement is a key part of student government. Student, after all, is right in the name! If you would like to contact the SGA in order to inform them about an event, request additional club funding, voice a complaint or concern or simply bring something to their attention, feel free to come to one of the general meetings.
On the first Tuesday of every month, the SGA holds General Meetings during College Hour (12:30-1:30 p.m.) in Student Center Room 120, where representatives from each club meet to discuss upcoming events. We would love to hear from you there.
All meetings are open to the public, so don't be afraid to attend. All SGA asks is that you give at least 24-hour notice to any item you want addressed in the general meeting so it may be considered for the agenda.
