Student Background Check is Required Prior to Registration

Students cannot register for EMS classes without a background check. The EMS Program background check may take up to 2 weeks to process.

Once the background check is complete, you will be notified on how to get registered.

Use the link below to begin the background check process: (located on page 4 of the packet)

Background Check

In addition to the Background Check, students will need to complete a Clinical Orientation Packet. Information about preparing for clinical will be given on the first day of your EMS class.

Other questions about clinical will be answered at the mandatory clinical orientation, generally scheduled on the first or second Saturday of EMS classes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you have questions about the packet or clinical requirements prior to these events, please contact Doug Chappell, EMS Clinical Coordinator.

The packet linked below lists the material that must be completed prior to entering clinical rotations. This material is necessary to meet the requirements of the clinical locations (EMS Services, Hospitals). Additional material will be covered in your Clinical Orientation and in class. Please download the packet and complete the material.
