College of the Mainland is a Mother-Friendly Worksite. Faculty, staff and administrators support employees and students who choose to breastfeed their infants. A private, comfortable space in the Technical-Vocational Building has been designated as the "mother" room for mothers to store breast milk for their babies.

Breast milk helps keep babies healthy. Research has shown that breastfed babies are less likely to have illnesses like asthma, ear infections and type 2 diabetes (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services). Some mothers are not able to breastfeed. Join us in removing obstacles for those mothers who can.
