Bernie Smiley

Bernie Smiley was born on Galveston Island and graduated class of 1989 from Dickinson High School. After a B.A. in English from University of St. Thomas, two master's degrees (M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction and M.A. in English) from Stephen F. Austin, and a doctorate from Texas Southern University, he is back in the area making a show of himself.  Smiley likes seeing live music (+/-1,000 concerts), zombie films (100+ movies) and international travel (60+ countries). He talks too much about CrossFit and refuses to admit how much he likes his wife’s dog. Feel free to discuss where this summer’s road trip should go. He has ideas but is always looking for the next roadside attraction.
