What is the GED?
GED (General Educational Development) tests measure the outcome of a high school education. GED tests consist of four tests, one in each of these subjects:
- Social Studies
- Language Arts

- All sections of the test: $135 total, $33.75 per section
2014 Retest Policy
Examinees may have two discounted retakes per failed content area, providing those retakes occur within 12 calendar months of the initial attempt. The price will be $13.75 instead of $33.75 per retake. After these two retests, an examinee can wait 90 days to test again for full price of $33.75. Call 1-877-392-6433 for more information.
College of the Mainland's Testing Department can only provide GED transcripts for COM's Admissions and Records Office and Financial Aid Department.

- There is a $5 transcription fee due at time of request.

If you received your GED prior to 1994, you may need to contact one of the COM Testing Center examiners to begin the process of obtaining your certificate/transcript at 409-933-8379. Note: GED no longer offers official GED certificates that resemble diplomas.
