My academic background includes studies and research in the areas of both Environmental and Clinical Microbiology. My doctoral studies focused on the effects of low-shear stress and modeled microgravity on bacterial physiology and virulence potential. Outside of my daily teaching activities at COM, I enjoy swimming, tennis, reading science/medical fiction novels, and playing with my two Chihuahuas.
