Computer Information Systems Certificate

The Computer Information Systems Certificate gives students exposure to several computer specialties. Students gain exposure to programming, web page design, hardware maintenance, maintaining and supporting networks, implementing and supporting operating systems and servers. This certificate not only trains students for entry level programming jobs but is primarily suited for individuals working in small to medium sized companies where a broader computer knowledge is at a premium.
Database Management Certificate

Database Management skills are in high demand in today's job market. COM's Database Management Certificate is designed to give you the needed skills and prepare you for the MCDBA certification. The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator(MCDBA) credential requires students to take and pass four Microsoft vendor exams. The courses in College of the Mainland's Database Management Certificate cover all the material a student will need to learn in order to pass these exams. These exams can be taken at COM. We cannot guarantee that a student who goes through this program will become an MCDBA.
Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Information Systems gives students exposure to several computer specialties as well as the general education courses needed for a well rounded degree. In addition to writing, speaking, math and other social skills, students gain exposure to programming databases, networking, operating systems, and system analysis and design. This degree trains students for entry level programming jobs and also primarily suited for individuals desiring to work in smaller to medium sized companies where a broader computer knowledge is at a premium.
