One-on-One Tutorials or Computer Aided Instruction for Developmental Students
The Developmental Writing Lab does help with:
- Brainstorming ideas and focusing a topic
- Organizing and developing an outline
- Developing a thesis statement
- Answering grammatical/syntactical questions
- Giving honest feedback about papers
- Working with students regularly to overcome weaknesses and develop writing strengths
- Assisting with interactive writing/grammar exercises
The Developmental Writing Lab does not help with:
- Editing papers (correcting papers for you)
- Discussing a grade assigned to a paper by an instructor
- Predicting the grade an instructor will assign a paper
- Providing essay topics or specific ideas for topics
