About TRiO Federal Programs
TRiO Programs are federal programs designed to ensure equal educational opportunity for all students, regardless of race, ethnic background or economic circumstance. Collectively, these programs assist young people from low-income families, potential first-generation college students and students with disabilities as they progress from middle school, high school, college and beyond.
In partnership with the U.S. Department of Education, College of the Mainland proudly hosts two of TRiO’s college access programs: Upward Bound and Student Support Services.
