We believe education and personal enhancement goes beyond the text book. That’s why we strive to offer everyone, including the community at large, access to some of the finest arts & cultural experiences in the region.
Art Gallery – COM’s Art Gallery features contemporary art exhibits created by local professional artists. We complement these exhibits with guest speakers and events to help promote the study and appreciation of art. Students have the opportunity to interact with artists who have achieved professional success, while learning the skills necessary to compete in the workplace.
Community Theatre – Recognized as one of America’s leading community theatres, COM’s theatre department is known for its high-quality productions and an innovative theatre arts programs. We provide quality theatrical experiences for local residents, as well as offer performing opportunities for local and regional talent through our open auditions. Since 1972, COM has presented more than 225 productions, including children’s theatre, concerts and workshops that have drawn more than 250,000 attendees.
Great Film Series – Come to one of our monthly screenings of some of the most influential films ever produced. The Film Series is free and open to the public. All screenings take place at 7 p.m. in the LRC Auditorium.
Music Series – From jazz to electric guitar, COM offers an ongoing series of musical concerts and performances that are open to the public and free (unless otherwise noted).
Multi-Cultural Events – Our Multi-Cultural Team sponsors and supports numerous educational and cultural events and activities, both on-campus and in the community.
