Struggling with math? College of the Mainland is offering free tutoring for COM credit students this fall. Tutoring is available on a walk-in basis from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7-9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday in the Math/Science Building Atrium.
This service provides COM students with an opportunity to ask questions and receive additional personalized help. A COM graduate who earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Houston provides the tutoring.
The tutor can provide assistance with any credit math course. Students are welcome to bring any class work or homework that they are struggling to understand.
“The tutor is there for the students," said professor Leslie Richardson, department chair of math and science. “He can help them understand the material.”
