COM adopts Higher One Card for student refunds
Posted on: August 28, 2012
This fall, College of the Mainland will have a new financial aid refund disbursement program designed to simplify students’ lives. COM has partnered with Higher One, a financial services company focused solely on higher education.
Beginning August 31, students will receive a bright green envelope in the mail with their card. Once received, students can activate the card to choose how to receive their refunds for financial aid, canceled or dropped courses and other credit balances. They can choose a same-day deposit to a Higher One checking account or a direct deposit to an existing domestic bank account of their choice.
The Higher One card means that students will have more choices for managing their money and receiving financial aid refunds. It will also aid in the faster delivery of any refund money to which they are entitled.
