College of the Mainland’s Adult Education program was awarded Platinum Level Recognition from Texas LEARNS at the State Adult Education Administrators' Summer Institute in Galveston. This award celebrates the College’s student academic performance and program management for the 2009-10 program year by meeting all federal performance levels and the timely reporting of all program and financial reports, demonstrating the high quality of services, providing accountability and return on investment for the community and the state.

“This award is a wonderful recognition of the excellent work College of the Mainland does throughout our community. I’m very proud to be able to accept this on behalf of our hard-working students and fantastic faculty. Their efforts truly change the lives of families in our community. I know how much this will mean to all the hard-working teachers in our ESL and GED classes as we get ready to start our new school year,” said Josh Hayes, director of Adult Education.
