COM North County Learning Center

College of the Mainland's North County Learning Center serves our North County service area, which includes Dickinson, Friendswood and League City. It is located off I-45 at FM 518 and Parker Court, across from Ross Elementary School in League City.

The Learning Center offers continuing education classes for personal and professional growth, including classes and workshops in computers, real estate, professional development, fitness and much more.

The Learning Center also makes rooms available for group meetings and workshops when classes are not in session.

The North County Learning Center brings quality education to this rapidly growing area of the county.

This class is an overview of licensure as a real estate broker or salesperson.  Topics include the ethics of practice, titles to and conveyance of real estate, legal descriptions, deeds, encumbrances and liens, distinctions between personal and real property, appraisal, finance and regulations, closing procedures and real estate mathematics.  A minimum of three hours of classroom instruction will be devoted to federal, state and local laws relating to housing discrimination, housing credit discrimination and community reinvestment.
