National Incident Management System (NIMS) & Incident Command Systems (ICS) Overview:

This course provides a basic introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS). Participants will be given an overview of the key concepts and principles of NIMS and the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of ICS.  This course will cover elements of ICS-100, ICS-200, and IS-700.

ICS300 - Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents:

Additional registration required through www.preparingtexas.org. This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 and ICS-200 courses. Prerequisites: ICS-100, 200, & IS-700, 800.

ICS400 - Advanced Incident Command System, Command and General Staff:

Additional registration required through www.preparingtexas.org.  This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS) within a Type 1 or Type 2 level incident or event.  This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses. Prerequisites: ICS-100, 200, 300 & IS-700, 800.

G557 - Rapid Assessment Workshop:

This course provides information and resources that will enable participants to plan an effective Damage Assessment Program and conduct rapid and effective damage assessments in order to save lives, protect property and the environment, and begin the process of Recovery and Mitigation. NOTE: Morning course only. Separate registration for companion course, G270.4.

G270.4 - Recovery from Disaster:

Additional registration required through www.preparingtexas.org. This course provides local government awareness of the issues involved in disaster recovery, a discussion of "lessons learned" in disaster recovery at the local level, and promotes the development of a pre-disaster recovery plan.
