To provide well balanced, exemplary audio-visual products / resources which can be easily utilized by the faculty and students of College of the Mainland.

Mission Statement:

To support the mission of the College for the citizens of Galveston County and beyond by providing dependable, professional services which encourage, assist and provide support for the use of technology as a tool to facilitate and enhance teaching and learning  and to help reach a larger, more diverse student population.

About Instructional Technology

Instructional Technology' audio / visual resources include a large collection of equipment and materials. The equipment consists of numerous types of cameras, projectors, phonographs, tape recorders, and other media production devices.

Materials (Non-Print Media) range from audio cassettes and CDs, to video tape, laser video discs, and DVDs.

The Instructional Technology office is located at LRC-104 on the ground floor of the Learning Resources Center.

Audio / visual (Non-Print Media) materials are integrated into the Library computer catalog (COMCat), with books and other print materials to provide an individual complete access to the learning resources of the college. The media collections are extensive and include video telecourses and a special collection of personal enrichment (General Interest) items, as well as the diverse instructional collections.

The Instructional Technology staff will assist individuals with their audio visual needs from instructional design and production, to the loan of equipment and materials.
