Certificate – Medical Coding

College of the Mainland offers courses for students interested in health information management, which includes medical coding. A health information technician, also known as a registered health information technician, performs a variety of health information-related functions, including organization, analysis, coding and technical evaluation of health information and interaction with administrative and financial departments of health care facilities. COM’s Health Information Management Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Information and Information Management Education.
