Associate of Applied Science – Pharmacy Technician

College of the Mainland offers courses for students who want to become pharmacy technicians. Pharmacy technicians are skilled health care specialists who work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This program was designed to help prepare students to pass the required National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam while providing the tools necessary for successful employment opportunities in the pharmacy field. Each student is given the opportunity as an intern to gain on-site job experience in a hospital as well as in a community pharmacy. An Associate of Applied Science degree will give each technician further opportunities in management and teaching positions.
