Teaching at COM : College of the Mainland Online

Teaching at COM

For most credit courses applicants must have a master's degree or higher and at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited institution. For instance, a person with a master's degree in History could apply to teach History, and so could a person with an MBA who has at least 18 graduate hours in History.

Workforce courses do not require a master's degree but do require experience in the field. College level teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Would you like to teach but need flexibility in your schedule? Why not teach online? COM will provide you with the required training and support you need to master our course management system and provide a rich learning experience for your students.

We will be happy to discuss options with you if you'd like to know more about a teaching opportunity with us. Please review the current list of teaching openings and fill out the COM employment application online or you may contact the department chairperson in your area of interest for more information.
