CAST Center
College of the Mainland's Community-Based Advanced Skills Training (CAST) Center was established to train prospective and incumbent workers for high-skill high-wage crafts positions in Electrical, Machining, Pipefitting, and Welding. The CAST Center also addresses the lack of classroom and lab space by adding over 11,000 square feet for training needs. State of the art equipment as well as highly qualified faculty will help provide advanced skills and crafts training to residents of the Texas Gulf Coast Communities.
In partnering with local industry, ISD's, and local workforce agencies a pipeline of qualified trainees meets the expressed needs for advancing technology and innovation within the Petrochemical Industry.
