Emily Peacock – Whiskey Tango Statement

I never realized how poorly I ate until I was about 20. Before moving in with a college pole-valuter I thought a balanced meal consisted of hamburger helper with garlic bread. I have since come to the realization that I was raised on processed, canned, artificial, and prepackage food. I still get nostalgic every now and then and purchase some bologna. I still like it. After one of these purchases I started to think about the similar shapes and colors of the food that I grew up on. "Whiskey Tango," (derived from the military phonetic alphabet for the letters "W" and "T") explores the beauty, form, and texture of these processed foods. The images are bright, colorful and simple, highlighting the peculiarity of each food.
